Fall in Chicago is like a rollercoaster of temps. We start the mornings cool and crisp then as the sun peaks out from behind the changing leaves it can heat up to the mid 60's. It's not cold enough for your winter jacket and it's certainly not warm enough for just one layer. So what's your solution? A shacket of course - the perfect transitional piece that's all the rage. Webster defines a shacket as a portmanteau of shirt and jacket, and in reality it's just that - a shirt and a jacket.

They are not only practical but quite fashionable and can take you from shopping in the Gold Coast to an afternoon walking around Lake Geneva. You might even spot me showing one of our fabulous listings in my shacket this year. I've rounded up some of my favorites you can shop this season.
Happy shacket shopping! XX LMW
I recently went to Wisconsin to visit family and hit up the fall pumpkin patches. It was a lovely afternoon and we bopped around Cedarburg (right outside of Milwaukee) and found a great shacket at one of the small shops in town. My sister-in-law and I couldn't resist getting matching shackets. I couldn't find the link to the exact one but this one is most similar and from the same company.
This one from Banana Republic is chic and looks perfect layered with a collared shirt. It's also currently on sale - score!
Another great option by Zara. Loving how these colors work together.
I haven't shopped at Abercrombie and Fitch since I was probably in eighth grade but this cozy little number turned my head and I might just have to add it to the cart.
Ohhhhh a long shacket, this one looks fun from Nordstrom.
And just because shacketing is so fun here is one more in case you don't love plaid and want to brighten up your fall look.
